Avon Wood Park is a small site of holiday homes right on the shore of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District. Nestling in grounds of natural woodland sloping down to the shores of Lake Windermere, Avon Wood provides the perfect setting for a peaceful and secluded holiday.
Only 5 miles from the lively village of Bowness, Avon Wood is an ideal base for touring the whole of the Lake District National Park, the Furness peninsular and North Lancashire.
Parklands Country Club: As a guest of Avon Wood, you are automatically entitled to free guest membership of the Parklands Country Club at the Burnside Hotel in nearby Bowness.
The all-weather leisure environment of the Parklands Country Club has something for everyone. The club incorporates swimming pool with children's area, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and jet showers. The more energetic may prefer a game of badminton or squash, or a workout in the well equipped gymnasium.
Accommodation: Lodges and caravans sleep between 2 and 6 people in double and twin rooms. All are equipped with colour TV/video and a fully fitted kitchen including microwave in addition to a shower. There is a picnic table and barbecue for the use of guests. Bed linen and duvets are provided and beds are made up for your arrival.
