Guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast, using home reared produce, and relax in the sauna and hot tub or in front of the cosy wood burning stove. Ideally situated on a private smallholding beside the River Ellen, where you can see free-range Saddleback pigs and hens; as well as a small flock of rare breed Ryeland sheep.

Guests are welcome to explore the smallholding and help with the animals. Beech House is ideally situated to take advantage of the many attractions of the Western Lakes from walking the fells, Skiddaw is just five miles away; taking in the sights of Cockermouth, the birth place of William Wordsworth; or playing a round of golf on Silloth’s golf links. After a busy day exploring the sights relax in the lounge, in front of the wood burning stove; in the infra-red sauna or hot tub or a hammock in the garden over looking the village green.

Accommodation: There are three light and spacious bedrooms all newly re-furbished using traditional furnishings complimented by all the conveniences of modern living including digital TV with Freeview, coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryer, alarm clock, robes and luxury toiletries. Choose between a master suite with its own private sitting area and ensuite bathroom with spa bath; a double room with views over the village green and an ensuite shower room or a twin room with a large private bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
