Details: Nestling in an elevated position amongst magnificent fir trees and offering complete seclusion and tranquillity, Bolton’s Tarn Luxury Log Cabin is set within a 5 star British Tourist Council rated private 18 acre woodland Estate. Bolton’s Tarn is particularly well positioned within the estate to provide maximum privacy, is extremely well equipped and offers an ideal base to explore the area, for walkers or simply to relax and unwind. Facilities on the estate include a family sized swimming pool with changing rooms, sauna, Jacuzzi, separate laundry room and a pay phone.

The estate is centrally located at Skelwith Bridge, and approximately 2 1/2 miles west of Ambleside at the foot of the Langdale Valley with easy access to Windermere, Coniston, Ambleside, Grasmere etc and has spectacular views from the top of the site across the Langdale Valley and down to Loughrigg Tarn. There are numerous attractions, activities, shops, restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to explore in the area. Accommodation
Bolton’s Tarn offers luxury "alpine" style self catering 3 bedroom accommodation for up to 6 persons(1 extra child by agreement), including 1 double, 1 twin / double, 1 set bunk beds. The lodge is heated by night storage heaters and briefly comprises: Lounge which is tastefully furnished and extremely well equipped with comfortable leather sofas, 12 channels Television/DVD & Music Centre, Fitted Kitchen with Electric Cooker, Fridge, Freezer, Microwave etc, Dining area. Shower with W.C., Hand Basin and Heated Towel Rail.

Outside there is a veranda leading onto a large sun deck & BBQ area complete with BBQ & picnic table The cabin is ideally situated to provide privacy and benefits from its views overlooking young woodland and fields down to Skelwith Bridge. The site is home to deer, red squirrels, and badgers along with a large variety of birds. A "Badger Cam" has been installed for 2007 to announce nocturnal Badger visits.

The cabin itself is totally no smoking – smoking is permitted on the external veranda. Dogs are allowed to a maximum of 2, (first free, 2nd subject a supplement). Families and children are also very welcome. Reserved parking for 2 cars for use of visitors to Bolton’s Tarn cabin is available, additional extra parking as also available on site.
