Brown Dyke Stables is a wonderful new luxury self-catering holiday cottage created from former stables dating back to the 18th century and is located in the Scottish Borders, just a few miles north east of the historic city of Carlisle in Cumbria.

It is an excellent base for exploring the local area with many historic attractions and some fantastic walking / cycling to be had nearby. Lovingly restored by Don and Jean Musgrave over a couple of years, there are now three bedrooms, all en-suite.

The former stables are located on a large courtyard and are unusual for having lots of windows which make this a very light and airy place to stay. The views across open fields and rolling countryside with the North Pennines in the distance are lovely. The sounds of cattle and sheep in the fields, as well as numerous birds make Brown Dyke a very relaxing place for a stay away from it all. Whatever you a looking for in a holiday cottage, Brown Dykes Stables offer home from home comfort in a peaceful, relaxing environment.

Accommodation: Downstairs there is a lovely modern kitchen/dining room with all mod cons. including cooking range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, large fridge with freezer. There are also two large luxury en-suite double bedrooms. Plus a Downstairs toilet and cloakroom.
