Details: Cragg Cottage is located between Eskdale and Ravenglass, and is within easy reach of the Western Lakeland fells and mountains. The house stands alone and offers comfortable accommodation for up to six people in spectacular surroundings. Eskdale is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks, either on the fells or along the banks of the River Esk, the river has natural pools for swimming and is a popular place for canoeing and fishing. The famous Ravenglass & Eskdale Miniature Railway runs along the valley, its steam trains making the leisurely seven-mile journey down to the sea.

You wont be short on choice when looking for somewhere to eat, there are five pubs in Eskdale and two in Ravenglass all of which welcome children and offer a wide varity of good food and real ales. There is also a village shop which stocks a range of produce including beer, wine, fresh fruit and vegetables, food to go & newspapers.

Accommodation: A large sitting room offers a place for guests to unwind with TV, DVD, Stereo (including mp3 player attachment) plus a real open fire & a variety of books to read. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would expect including electric oven & hob, fridge, microwave. There is also a pantry which has additional storage and a small freezer. The utility room has a washing machine and dishwasher. The dining room has an AGA and original stone flags. Finally a study offers a place to escape, relax or do some work. Upstairs there are three bedrooms - two doubles and one twin. There is also a bathroom with toilet, basin and bath with a shower above it. Outside a large garden allows guests to enjoy the summer sun & views of the mountains.
