Location: Situated between the Lake District Fells and Morecambe, Grange-over-Sands was once a small fishing village, but the arrival of the Furness Railway meant the village was transformed into an Edwardian resort. Today, Grange-over-Sands offers many shops, pubs and restaurants along with a delightful promenade, fantastic gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. A short drive away, you will find the breathtaking Lake Windermere - the largest lake in England and the pretty villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead.
