Helvellyn Holiday Cottages are located in Glenridding on the shores of Lake Ullswater. Originally miners cottages they are situated above the village with spectacular views of Ullswater from the garden, and stunning views of Helvellyn, on the road leading to the old Greenside mine which is now Helvellyn Youth Hostel.

The cottages which are situated side by side offer self-catering holiday cottage accommodation, in a traditional Lakeland setting but with all modern amenities including central heating, a wood burning stove, washing machine and a power shower!

The cottages each sleep four people, and well behaved pets and children are welcome! So whether you’re planning an expedition up Helvellyn and its sister peaks, looking to enjoy the pleasures of Lake Ullswater or simply looking for a base to explore the lake district, Helvellyn Cottage provides you with the perfect place.

Cottage Number 1 This cottage provides sleeping accommodation for 4 persons with 1 double bedroom and one twin bedroom, with views over the fells. There is a separate bathroom with a bath and overhead power shower.

The open plan lounge/dining room also has views of the fells, and offers a large wood-burning stove, colour TV (with satellite freeview), video/DVD player, CD player and a selection of books, maps and games to while away the evenings.
