The Lake district and Cumbria is truly a wonderful destination for a self catering holiday cottage and/or short break. You will be able to marvel at the beautiful shimmering lakes with the glorious mountains and fells rising up in the background from the shoreline. Alternatively have a look at cottages dotted along or nearby the equally stunning coast of Cumbria, with rugged cliffs and long sandy beaches to explore.

In terms of cottages available you will be spoilt for choice. There are small secluded cottages and chalets for two, where if you choose you don't need to see another person for the duration of your stay.
