Location: The historic town of Kendal is a wonderful, vibrant city on the banks of the River Kent. Sometimes referred to as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes, this ancient settlement is home to a lively shopping centre. Its cobbled lanes and byways branch off an attractive main street whilst the stone ruins of the 12th Century Kendal Castle is situated high above the town.
