Details: Traditionally built late Victorian property, situated on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake. This country guest house enjoys stunning views of the forest and surrounding fells, and the sunny aspect gives a warm and comfortable atmosphere in which to relax, feel at home and enjoy your holiday or short break.

Link House is situated just off the A66 at the northern tip of Bassenthwaite Lake, between the Cumbrian towns of Keswick and Cockermouth, the latter being the birthplace of William Wordsworth and the oldest town in Cumbria.

Set in the quieter part of the Lake District National Park it is an ideal location to chill out, yet with easy access to many interesting places including the Whinlatter Visitor Centre where the Ospreys nest nearby each year, and can be viewed. A truly peaceful location, ideal for the serious walker, cyclist or for touring the area by car.

Accommodation:
Owners Keith & Wendy Atkinson have created a friendly, relaxed ambiance at Link House, and offer comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation in 3 double en-suites, 2 twin en-suites, 2 single en-suites and 1 single with private bathroom.

The period features have been preserved including the stained glass and the original fireplace. The comfortable bedrooms, each offer colour television, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, radio alarms & shoe cleaning kits.
Guest internet, email and fax facilities are also available. There is a garden area with open views, patio and garden furniture. Private off road parking for 8/9 cars is available for guests use. Drying facilities are provided. Sorry we do not accept pets.

Dining
The full cooked English breakfast, served every day in the guest’s dining room, uses fresh local produce wherever possible. Lighter options are always available, including cereals, muesli, fruit juice and grapefruit with seasonal options of fresh fruit salad or porridge.

Visitors can enjoy a drink with their meal or relax in the comfortable conservatory with licensed bar.
