Oakbeam Cottage is a terraced cottage in the village of Backbarrow is close to the southern end of Lake Windermere in the beautiful Lake District, and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.With the surrounding countryside offering excellent walking, sailing, climbing and cycling, Oakbeam Cottage is an ideal Lakeland retreat.
Accommodation: The cottage has a double bedroom on the first floor and a twin room on the second floor, sleeping up to four people. There is one bathroom. Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen, and a sitting room with dining area and an open fire, while next to the twin bedroom upstairs is a second cosy sitting area. Outside, a front enclosed garden area offers furniture, and there is off road parking.
Storage heaters throughout, additional heating from open fire in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, CD player, radio, library of books and games. Electricity and fuel for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Enclosed front garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: No children under 5 years
Location: Backbarrow is a small Lakeland village close to the southern end of famous Lake Windermere. The village is set on the banks of the River Leven, and offers riverside strolls plus a shop and pub. The attractions of the Lake District are close at hand here, including the chance to discover the World of Beatrix Potter, visit the Aquarium of the Lakes, walk the magnificent fells or while away the days in one of the many attractive villages such as Ambleside or Hawkshead.
