Parkergate is a wonderful former working Cumbrian farm, set in beautiful surroundings, with outstanding views towards Bassenthwaite Lake and towards Ullock Pike, Skiddaw and the Northern Fells of Cumbria.
We have four quality self catering holiday cottages available within a recently converted barn, plus The Stable, a newly converted ground floor cottage with disabled friendly access & bathroom all with outstanding views of the surrounding fells and countryside. The main house itself was built in 1767 and is a Grade II Listed Building.
Parkergate has a peaceful location near to Bassenthwaite village, just a few miles from Keswick in the Northern Fells of the Lake District National Park. It is an ideal base for exploring all Lakes, the Solway Coast, the historic border city of Carlisle and even Hadrian's Roman Wall. We must have one of the best locations in the whole of Cumbria for enjoying the spectacular Lakeland sunsets over the North West fells.
Parkergate consists of 5 self catering holiday cottages in converted barns, 4 within one big bank barn and the stable, which is attached to this barn.
