PUDDING COTTAGE is a magnificent lakeland stone cottage situated in the Heart of the Lake District between Windermere and Ambleside and within easy reach of Grasmere and Hawkshead.

Built in the late 18th Century by James Lowther - the First Earl of Lonsdale - the cottage has recently been converted to provide superb five star accommodation in tranquil and luxurious surroundings.

Situated up a farm track just a few hundred yards from the shore of Lake Windermere - the cottage looks onto landscaped gardens at the rear and onto Lake Windermere and the surrounding countryside from the front...

entrance.Brockhole Visitors Centre across the road from the cottage has a fantastic children’s play area, tea rooms and ferry links to Bowness and Ambleside.

The cottage is superbly equipped with everything that you could need for a memorable holiday - we also provide all the equipment you could need for a baby - a cot, high chair, baby carrier, floatie and toys!

There is an abundance of wildlife in the grounds, you may well see baby deer, rabbits and woodpeckers coming right up to your door.This is a five star cottage for children as well with a games console (Nintendo 64 with over 20 games!) and a selection of board games and videos for all ages.

There is a CD player, a DVD and video player and a small selection of music (but if your teenagers are anything like ours - they may want to bring their own music!).The cottage is especially safe for young children as the large kitchen and living room windows look onto the gardens so they can be safely monitored whilst you enjoy a glass of wine inside or prepare a meal.Membership to a private local health club is included with the cottage rental.

Facilities include a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, squash courts, gym and beauty salon.Pudding Cottage was the Winner of the Gold Award for Cumbria Self-catering Cottage of the Year.
