Set in the grounds of The Glenburn Hotel, next to a to a small brook, River Cottage is just five minutes walk from the heart of Windermere village, with its selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

River Cottage provides an exceptional level of comfort and style not normally found in Lake District self-catering cottages. The cottage books up months in advance, so please plan well ahead to avoid disappointment!

The location is ideal for exploring the area with Lake Windermere close by, and a whole range of other attractions and activities on the doorstep. There are ample walking opportunities ranging from gentle lake shore strolls to the more adventurous fells and mountain ranges. 

This deluxe cottage can accommodate up to six persons including two children. On the ground floor there is a hallway leading to the large family bathroom, a cloakroom and a large double bedroom, with a dressing room attached. There is also a further children's bedroom with single bunk beds.

The stairs lead to the first floor where there is a double bedroom and a large lounge area with a flat screen TV and DVD player. There is a fitted kitchen and a dining area with patio doors leading to a balcony, which overlooks the stream and woods.

At the rear of the cottage is a private Italianette BBQ garden with potted plants, table and chairs - ideal for late evening entertaining or that relaxing drink.
