In the days when this was the local Railway Station there was plenty of hustle and bustle.

Regularly ferrying everything from children to school, to farm animals to market this was once the hub of the tiny village of Troutbeck.

Now however, the Stationmasters House enjoys a far quieter and sedate existence. Instead it provides the ideal base to explore the Lake District being situated near Lake Ullswater & Keswick.

The cottage offers spacious accommodation including a large conservatory . It has incredible views over the pretty garden and beyond over the fells. Perfect place to enjoy the morning sun.

The garden is also enjoyed by an array of birds including woodpeckers.
We are really exited to have red squirrels regularly feeding alongside!

It is extremely well equipped and includes facilities such as central heating, washing machine, dishwasher etc. to ensure your comfort.
The large enclosed garden is the perfect place to relax with a patio area, seating, and BBQ.
With several places to eat nearby, of course, you can easily venture out instead of cooking,

Should you wish to travel further the nearest towns are Keswick or Penrith which are both eight miles away.

Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District and offers breathtaking scenery and many activities.: Superb walking; sailing; cycling; rock-climbing; fishing and organised cruises.
