The Sun Inn is a dining pub, offering our restaurant menu in the bar as well as the small intimate restaurant. Our award winning, one rosette restaurant, has a relaxed informal atmosphere with professional service from friendly staff.

The eleven high quality bedrooms each have their own character and charm combined with modern comforts of luxury pillowtop mattress bed, LCD televisions, wi-fi connectivity, comfortable seating and handmade Furniture. Every room is en suite with a modern new bath and shower room with luxury toiletries and huge fluffy towels.

Kirkby Lonsdale is pretty, quaint and full of picture perfect cottages built from Lakeland stone, with little lanes and snickets to explore.
From the town you can gaze at the beautiful view of the Howgills and just a few steps from the main street you can join the River Lune meandering through Kirkby Lonsdale down to Devil's Bridge, dating from 1370. Walk along the River Lune and up the Radical Steps to Ruskins View, a view he described as 'one of the fairest in England and therefore the world'.
