This beautiful red sandstone Georgian mansion was built in 1804 as a private residence and is set in nine acres of parkland. It offers a private and peaceful setting for a few days relaxation "away from it all". Set just outside Wigton, the location is central to the Cumbrian towns of Cockermouth, Whitehaven, Workington, Keswick and the city of Carlisle - with easy access from the M6 and the Solway Coast. And yet we're just a short drive to some of the most stunning scenery in the Lake District National Park. Whether you're here to work or play, our stylish, contemporary guest rooms, interesting dining menus and friendly service will help to make your stay with us that little bit more special.
Accommodation: We offer 12 comfortable contemporary guest rooms, all en suite, with colour televisions, direct dial telephones and tea/coffee making facilities. Our rooms are available on a bed and breakfast (B&B) basis and we also have our own restaurant & bar. There is ample free car parking & Wi-Fi internet access. We have a night porter on duty and room service is available. For our business guests, we also offer fax, e-mail and secretarial services if required.
