The Waverley Hotel is based in a beautiful stone building dating back to 1870 and is full of charm and character. The hotel is in a superb location on a quiet side street, and ideally located to explore and enjoy the stunning English Lake District, being just a short 5 minute stroll from 2 bus stations and the rail station, and Lake Windermere itself is just a 15 minute leisurely walk.

There are many activities, attractions and days out to suit all the family. Try a tour of the Lakes by car, over Hardnott, Wrynose and Honister Passes with their spectacular views. You will pass through quaint villages such as Sawrey, Hawkshead, Coniston, Keswick, Grasmere and Ambleside, and you will travel past twelve of the Lake District National Parks most stunning and beautiful lake's, with their spectacular mountain backdrop including Scafell Pike, Skiddor, The Old Man of Coniston and Cats Bells.

Accommodation
Sleeping accommodation includes king size with bath and shower, double rooms with sleigh beds or spa baths, twin rooms and family rooms. All bedrooms are en-suit and non-smoking. A separate smoking lounge is available. A private car park is available for guests use.

All rooms are spacious and include a colour TV, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers, complimentary toiletries, fresh flowers, bed linen and complimentary towels. Shoe cleaning, washing, drying and ironing facilities are also available. Newspapers are delivered to your bedroom door each morning by arrangement.

Dining
Breakfast and evening meals are served in our non-smoking guest’s dining room. Head chef and proprietor Alison, with many years of catering experience in local restaurants, prepares and cooks all meals to order using the finest local Lake District produce and only the freshest of vegetables. The famous Lake District breakfast is included in the price, and evening meals, equally as memorable are available to order.
