Details for Virginia Cottage Guest House

Located in Bowness-on-Windermere, in the heart of the English Lake District National Park, Virginia Cottage is a traditional stone and slate built guest house, offering comfortable B&B accommodation. To create a relaxed and stress free atmosphere our guests are couples only, and we do not accept groups or parties. Pets are welcome in specified rooms. Virginia Cottage is the ideal base from which to explore some of the Lake District's finest scenery, made famous by such people as Wordsworth and Coleridge.

The position of Virginia Cottage is unique, being close to Lake Windermere and surrounded by many shops and restaurants, and traditional pubs offering a wide variety of locally brewed ales.

Our wish is to provide quality yet homely accommodation exclusively for couples. This is the place to relax, unwind and enjoy the many attractions of the Lake District.

Leisure facilities are available at the Old England Spa, including the swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, and (at additional charge) the beauty salon.

Accommodation - all our guest rooms are en-suite and some have views over the village and surrounding fells. They are either double or four poster rooms, solely for non smokers, and include a fridge, TV with DVD player, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.

We provide a traditional English breakfast as well as lighter alternatives, including vegetarian options. On occasion we have special alternatives on offer.
