Whether you prefer moto-cross, motorcycle racing, drag racing, stock cars or speedway events, you'll find somewhere in the Lake District to suit your needs. Hill climbing is a division of motor sport that has grown a lot in popularity over the last ten years. Very high torque vehicles are used to race up incredibly steep hills. The object is height and steepness rather than speed. The Lake District, containing the highest peaks in England is a perfect place to pursue this activity and many clubs now exist across the region.
