The Lake District has a range of varied and interesting attractions to suit all the family. They are located amongst stunning countryside in a natural environment providing an ideal setting to enjoy some amazing sights. They range from early days and yester years to current state of the art technology.
Enjoy a trip on a steam railway taking in spectacular views, or go back in time with a visit to a former mining site. There are also museums and halls and gardens steeped in history, lovingly restored and kept in tip top condition, containing nostalgic memorabilia.
You really are spoilt for choice! with attractions such as: castles, farms, working water mills, bird of prey centres, wildlife parks, sheep and wool centres and maritime museums. The list is endless.
