Houghton Farmer's Market - second Saturday of the month at Houghton village hall from 9am-130pm. There is a wide selection of meat, cheese, bread, cakes, hot food, preserves and lots of craft stalls too. Along side is a coffee morning run by different local charities and organisiations each month.

Brampton Farmer's Market - The market runs from 9.00 to 1.30 on the last Saturday of every month, except December, when it is the third Saturday.

Orton Farmers' Market - held on the second Saturday of every month, with over 35 local farmers, growers, producers & artisan craftsmen offer a tremendous variety of high quality and speciality local produce and crafts.

Kendal Farmers Market - Shop for the very best in local foods and enjoy all that this vibrant market town has to offer. This event is held on the last Friday of each month and is organised by Made in Cumbria.

Damson Day - Come and join the fun at Low Farm, Lyth Valley, LA8 8DJ on Damson Day where there's music, entertainment, blossom walks, orchard advice, dog displays, spring lambs, piglets, puppies and ferrets. Refreshments, good food, and a chance to try damson gin. The blossom walks are a feature and there is a chance to see local crafts, buy plants, savour various damson products and play crazy golf. There is a fun fair for children and there are the orchard sketch work-shops for budding artists. All this, and more, on a day out in the country to help celebrate the unique damson orchards of the Lyth Valley.

Lakeland Northern Sinfonia Concert - Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society present their annual top quality music event. Each year the society hosts a series of performances in lakes leisure Kendal's Westmorland Hall on the edge of the Lake District. Some are subscription concerts, although tickets are available with additional sought-after performances by the Halle and BBC Philharmonic. There's also a Christmas charity concert and over the years, £000's has been raised for local good causes.

Ulverston WalkFest - There will be numerous walks, covering history, geology, flora, fauna, etc. There will also be walk related events, such as slideshows, etc. Programmes will be available from Ulverston Tourist Office (01229 587120).
