The High Street


In this wonderful old fashioned seaside town eating at any of the local restaurants, cafes or pubs will provide visitors with an opportunity to try many of the local specialties as well as some of the areas finest local produce such as Cumberland Sausage, Holker Venison, Morecambe Bay Shrimps and Kendal Mint Cake. 

Just 200 yards from the beach there is a delightful grade 2 listed building, originally built in 1897 as a refreshment room, which now extended still trades a family run café and bakery, offering stunning views and excellent food to eat in and take away. 

With sandwich shops and fast food outlets scattered around town, including traditional fish and chips, there is no shortage of choice...
