The Duddon Estuary with Black Coombe


Millom is a tranquil and unspoiled coastal town in the stunning Duddon Valley, set on the Cumbrian coast on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, a beautiful beach and in the shadow of Black Combe fell it is a haven for walkers and wildlife lovers. 

The town itself is small but charming and has maintained many of its original features. There are several places of interest for visitors including Millom Folk Museum, St.Georges Church, Millom Castle and the Cumbrian Heavy Horse Centre. Strolling through town there is evidence of the iron ore mining history on display with an impressive sculpture of 'The Scutcher in the centre.
