Cumbrias Tour of Britain stint raised more than a little interest in the Lake District!

The Cumbrian section of the Tour of Britain route included a stretch around the edge of Crummock Water, as it wound its way from Carlisle to Kendal in the stunning Lake District. This stage of the race has brought a great number of tourists and visitors to the area, boosting tourism and helping to sustain local businesses. The route encompassed some breath-taking scenery along its 186km section, which was just the second stage of the event.
