The Kendal Mountain Festival is back!

The Kendal Mountain Festival will return once again between 17th and 20 of November this year. This will be the latest in the event's 30 year history and is looking to be even bigger and better than before.

With a history of welcoming in excess of 14,500 visitors over the past 30 years, keeping the visitors entertained isn't going to be an easy task. That hasn't put off this year's organisers who have worked hard to ensure the standard of this year's event is even better. There will be hundreds of film screenings along with numerous top quality guest speakers.

There are to be a number of high profile premieres all looking to grab one of the 11 prestigious awards on offer. The most popular award I have no doubt will be "The People's Choice Award", as this one is voted for by festival attendees over the weekend.

The Kendal team have all worked hard to bring the most entertaining and best speakers who will accompany this year's films. Top of the bill will include the 20 year old Alex Megos and from the U.S, the highly talented, Cedar Wright, a man with numerous first ascents to his name!

At the centre of the event will be the larger Basecamp Village. Here, there will be a number of free performances to be enjoyed around the mini stage or from the café or bar. But once again the specialist events such as: climbing, snowsports, endurance sports, biking, cave and exploration will dominate the event's schedule.

Rob Greenwood will host this year's Petzl Rock Session.

Film tickets are already on sale, so don't delay and book your tickets to the Kendal Mountain Festival.
