Spring into the Lakes this Easter & Whitsuntide!

As the weather warms and the glorious countryside turns from gold to green there is no finer place to visit than the breathtaking Lake District. With endless places to stay and loads to see and do the Lakes is the perfect place for a long overdue break.

The Easter break is an ideal time to head off with the family and enjoy some quality time in a traditional farmhouse bed and breakfast or a picture perfect cottage surrounded by excellent walking country.

Many of the Lake District towns have annual festivities and events throughout the season. The Great Peter Rabbit Egg Hunt is an annual favourite at the World of Beatrix Potter in Windermere, egg rolling competitions are always great fun and of course the many colourful Easter bonnet parades brighten everyone's day!

Just a few weeks later as the weather warms, the sun brings out some wonderful spring floral displays amongst the many manicured gardens of the country houses, making a Whitsuntide holiday just idyllic. Perhaps a gentle trip on the calming waters of the lakes followed by a hearty lunch in a country pub is more your style.

Whatever your age or preference the Lake District is always a perfect choice for all the family.
