The Spirit of Cumbria - two days of uplifting Easter magic!

The Spirit of Cumbria is a fabulous exhibition complete with Saturday evening show in the theatre. Featuring around 85 fascinating stands, interesting workshops throughout each day, plus a programme with lots for children to see and do, it really is a new jewel for Cumbria to be proud of!

Organiser Elaine Fenton says that she is thrilled to be able to host The Spirit of Cumbria event at the award-winning tourist attraction The Rheged Centre and that it's the perfect place to create an inspirational event such as this. As for what you can expect, well, there really is something for everyone. A whole area has been designed just for children.

Many people come to festivals such as this to explore and learn or because they are curious. It's also great fun and there's always a fabulous atmosphere. It can be very stressful living our modern day lives - and we could all do with some little pointers as to how we might lead happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives and there are plenty of people at the event who might be able to help.

With a full programme of over 40 free talks, workshops, dance & music performances running throughout the weekend with some of the foremost speakers and workshop facilitators in this field in the UK, such as Barbara Meiklejohn Free, Flavia Kate Peters, Anna Louise Haigh, Joylina, David James Lees, Patrick Gamble, Quintin Smith and more you are in for a treat. From self-help, personal empowerment, drumming, dancing through to relaxation, angels, healing and more, once you have your programme, you'll be spoilt for choice! With all daytime workshops and talks being free -doesn't have to cost the earth to attend.

Getting an event of this size together has taken organiser Elaine Fenton a whole year, and the support from people from far and near has meant that it is set to be a great success and a ‘must' for visitors and tourists alike - rain or shine.
