This Privacy Policy has been updated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on the 25th May 2018 and replaces all previous Data Protection laws.

The data controller of all personal data referred to in this Privacy Policy is Stayin Ltd.(Stayin).

This Privacy Policy also includes information on Cookies and how they are used on our websites.

Stayin is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and this Privacy Policy details how Stayin uses and protects any information that you provide when you use our websites. Should we ask you to provide information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Data we may collect

  • Business/property name and address
  • Invoicing name and address
  • Postcode
  • Contact information including email address
  • Other information relevant to customer advertising

What we do with the information we gather

In respect of Stayin clients/advertisers:

We use this information to understand your needs, provide your advertising and to offer you a better service, including the following:

  • Internal record keeping
  • Annual accounting
  • Renewal notification and invoicing
  • On-line advertising on your behalf
  • To set up your online account and user area.
  • To improve our products and services
  • To periodically senddetails about new products, special offers/promotions or other information
  • To facilitate payment of renewals and invoices
  • General correspondence

We do not share your information with third parties, other than those directly associated with the operation of Stayin, and we do not sell your information.

In respect of online users:

We send your online enquiries to our relevant clients(as selected by you), so that they can respond to you directly. Your details are stored electronically and securely by Stayin for 18 months and then automatically deleted. We do not pass your details to third parties or utilise them for marketing purposes.


We are committed to ensuring that your information when held by Stayin and our service providers is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, both Stayin and our service providers have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

However, whilst we do our up most to protect your personal data, you need to be aware that no information transferred over the internet or via the post system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and hence you provide your information at your own risk.

It is your responsibility to keep your account login details secure and not intentionally or accidentally share them with others. If you become aware or suspect that others have obtained your login details, especially your password, then please either login immediately and change your password yourself or let Stayin know and we will change it for you.

When do we share your data with others?

In certain circumstances we do share your information with other parties as part of the operation of Stayin. This includes:

Stayin websites - are hosted on a dedicated, secure server based in the UK.

Online accounting - we use a UK based online accounting service provider for the day to day handling of renewal notifications and invoicing. All the data is securely stored on their dedicated servers.

Annual accounting - we temporarily share hard copies of your data, e.g. invoices and renewals, with our UK based accountants during the preparation of our annual accounts. Our accountants ensure your data is kept secure and is returned to us on completion of the annual accounts.

Website Developer - Our UK based authorised website developer has password protected access to our and information database to facilitate the development and upgrading of our website software.

Online payments - if you pay invoices or renewals by debit/credit card, your information is processed via Sagepay. Stayin do not retain your card details.


Our websites use session cookies when a user logs into the client area, and when using the advert shortlist facility. Session cookies should normally be destroyed as soon as the web browser is closed by the user. Some browsers decide to overrule this, however that is down to the users browser settings and/or the user's browser preferences and is not under the control of Stayin or our websites.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your own browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer, however this may prevent you from taking full advantage of our websites.

Links to other websites

Our websites contain links to other external non Stayin websites. However, once you have used these links to leave our websites, you should be aware that we do not have any control over external websites, and therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such other websites, or how these websites utilise cookies, and hence non Stayin websites are not governed by this Privacy Policy. You should exercise caution and look at the Privacy Policy and cookie statement applicable to the individual websites in question.

Controlling your personal information

Other than for the day to day operation of Stayin, as detailed above, we will not allow access to your personal data by other third parties, unless we have your express permission in writing or are required by law to do so.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please write or email your request to Stayin.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, or would like any information deleting, please write to or email us as soon as possible, and we will promptly make any necessary corrections.

We always delete or destroy your data at the earliest opportunity when it is no longer needed, e.g. should you cease to be a client.

Please note: we cannot delete data that we are required by law to retain for a set period, e.g. by HMRC and/or Companies House.

If you are an existing client/advertiser and do not wish to receive very occasional marketing emails from Stayin detailing new products and/or promotions, then please write to or email Stayin. We do not knowingly send out marketing emails to persons who are not existing clients/advertisers. We do not send out any other type of marketing, e.g. text, hard copy.

Please note: we will need to carry out identity checks before releasing any data to you and/or making any changes to your data.

Information concerning children/minors

Stayin operate general audience websites and does not offer services directed to children/minors, and do not knowingly collect data relating to children/minors. If we become aware that we have received data from children/minors, we will delete/destroy the information as soon as practical. If you become aware that we have received such information, please inform us immediately.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changing legal, technical or business developments.  We will take steps to inform you of, and obtain your consent, of any changes consistent with the significance of the change and/or where required to do so by law.
