Full Description: Blackwell was designed by M H Ballie Scott an Arts and Crafts architect, it was completed in 1990 and used by Sir Edward Holt a wealthy Manchester brewer and his family as a holiday home. Blackwell is of international importance as it stands at the crossroads of modern and Victorian design and most of the original interior decoration is still in tact.

Ł3.5 million has been put into Blackwell to restore it and open it up to the public as a gallery focusing on Arts and Crafts. Located in the Lake Districts most spectacular places it is an exciting and beautiful venue.
