Full Description: Ennerdale Bridge is located on the Western edge of the Lake District National Park. Just to the East of it is it namesake lake Ennerdale Water. This is a much more remote lake than the other more popular tourist areas, however it is just as beautiful if not more so due to its tranquillity. Ennerdale Fell forest is the true natural vegetation in these parts, and offers great forest walking with places oftrue tranquillity and great beauty.

Ennerdale Bridge lies in a valley surrounded by hills an area know as the Western Fells as named by Alfred Wainwright. It is sandwiched between the High Stile and Starling Dodd groups to the north, and the Pillar massif to the south. Ennerdale Bridge is located on the Coast To Coast Walk, Wainrights most famouse long distance walk.
