Ideally located between the rugged but beautiful Lake District and the coast, Grange-Over-Sands could be described as a is a pretty, traditional English sea side resort.

As the age of the railway progressed through the region including the building of the Furness Railway, the small fishing village of Grange-over-Sands was transformed into the fashionable Victorian/Edwardian sea side resort. Wealthy merchants built splendid houses, which now accommodate top quality hotels.

Grange-Over-Sands is the perfect location from which to explore the Lake District National Park Peninsulas. Within easy reach are a whole range attractions and places of interest, and activities available in the region include riding, golf, walking, fishing, tennis, water sports, archery, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking and bowling.
