Full Description: Keswick Museum tells visitors the story and unique history of Keswick and surrounding area. The museum which is set in the beautiful Fitz Park was built in 1897 and it is made of local volcanic slate and St Bees sandstone.

Keswick museum is the only purpose built museum in the Lake District.

Other activities available in the park include bowls, putting, tennis, riverside walks, children’s play area and picnic area.

Admission to the museum is free.

Opening Times:
April 3rd until October 31st
Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
Also open bank holidays.
