Full Description: Aira Force, the morning mist on Castlerigg Stone Circle, sunrise over Catbells, Skiddaw reflected in Derwent Water. All these beautiful places bring just one thing to mind - The beautiful English Lake District National Park.

The English Lake District truly is a photographer’s paradise. There is such a vast array of subjects, all of a different variety, ranging from the romantic atmosphere of Windermere to the weathered rocks of Langdale, to the calm and tranquillity of the many picturesque villages and hamlets dotted around the hillsides.

The beauty of this area just never ceases to inspire, giving both amateur and professional photographers a constant flow of opportunities to reproduce those classic picture postcard views, to take original work of their own, or simply capture their stay in the area for all time.

It is thought by many to be one of, if not ‘the’ most beautiful areas in all of Britain, and anybody who has been would find it difficult to dispute. This, along with easy access to various national trust sites such as ‘Wordsworth House’, home of the famous poet William Wordsworth, ‘Hill Top’, home of the author Beatrix Potter, and numerous other beautiful, historic and stunning locations unsurprisingly makes the Lakes a very popular area to all types of people.

Whether you photograph, climb, kayak, or just like to admire the landscape, the lakes has something for everyone.

Each season brings something different to the lakes. The dawn frosts in early spring, the late evening light in summer, the different browns and greens in autumn, the snow capped peaks in winter each makes a different photograph even of the same location.

I consider myself very fortunate to live in such an area. Being a keen climber and outdoorsman, I was drawn into the landscape and decided to take up photography, and am now a semi-professional selling my work either through stock sites, or by my own personal site: www.traveladventurephotography.com, where a collection of my work can been seen.
