Lake District Accommodation A-Z Search

Full Description: Portinscale is a Lakeland village situated one mile to the West of Keswick, within short walking distance or a quick 2minute drive. Keswick offers many visitor attractions, boat trips, museums and has a Saturday market too, it is one of the main tourist hubs in the Lake District. The village sits on the Northern end of the majestic Derwentwater, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful of all the lakes in the Lake District. You can easily access Portinscale from the A66 which is the main road across Cumbria.

It is a quiet village the offers a great relaxing place to stop, walking and bird watching are plenty available if you fancy something more energetic it is also with each reach of bustling Keswick. The lovely scenery made up of picturesque mountains and lakes make this great place to stay and a good base from which to discover the rest of this popular region.
