The Glass House Restaurant, Ambleside occupies a wonderful historic building and offers fine dining for all the family. The menu has both British and European influences and combines with a comprehensive and diverse wines and spirits list to make the perfect dining experience.

The Glass House Restaurant occupies a cleverly restored, Grade II listed building dating from the 15th Century that once operated as a cloth fulling mill and saw mill. It offers a unique dining experience for all ages, right in the heart of the stunning Lake District.

The Glass House Restaurant, Ambleside lies at the centre of this most beautiful corner of England, in the heart of the Lake District. Using only the freshest local produce from the Lakeland fells and farms, and fusing classic British dishes with European menus to create a dining experience not to be missed. The next generation menu is especially for those aged 12 years and under, offering appealing options for younger diners.

An impressive glass frontage floods the restaurant with light. Here diners can unwind and watch the fascinating interplay of the light on the architecture and artefacts. Drink is of course integral to any good meal. The cellar and bar is a reflection of the owners' philosophies, refreshing and easy going, yet confident and mature!

Culinary offerings at the restaurant are complimented by a surprising wine list that bridges the old and new worlds, an eclectic collection of beers from Europe, home made flavoured vodkas, over sixty malt whiskeys, including some very rare finds, and a collection of vintage Armagnac dating back to 1900.
