Ennerdale Bridge

Ennerdale is a tranquil and fairly remote village situated in the west of the Lake District, between Cleator Moor and the beautiful Ennerdale Water. It offers a relaxing place to stay and enjoy the spectacular Lake District and is ideally situated for the Coast to Coast Walk and the West Cumbria Cyclepath. The Ennerdale valley has one of the largest forests in Cumbria and there are numerous picturesque walks and public footpaths through the woodlands.

In the village there is an old church, two traditional pubs and a village store which caters for everyday essentials. Accommodation in the area is varied and there are hotels, bed and breakfasts and self catering cottages as well as a Youth Hostel and farmhouse accommodation.
