Grasmere is a delightful village situated on the Coast to Coast Walk in the stunning Lake District National Park. From the village there are numerous gentle and relaxing walks around the lake. For the more athletic the surrounding hills, crags and fells offer more of a challenge and are especially popular with fell runners. The village itself is full of character and was once the home of William Wordsworth. His former home at Dove Cottage and the 17th Century coaching inn where he used to take breakfast are still used today.
