In the village of Lamplugh there is a family run traditional Lake District pub, which caters for families and has a good selection of real ales and hearty food on the menu, there is also a beer garden for outdoor dining. On any visit to Lamplugh the local favourite dish, Lamplugh Pudding which has a closely guarded recipe of oats, biscuit, hot ale and raisins is a delicacy not to be missed. Nearby towns and villages have a whole range of cafes and coffee shops, wine bars and bistros as well as traditional restaurants and take away outlets to suit all tastes and budgets.
