Silloth

Silloth is an historic seaside village with a small busy port, set beneath the backdrop of the stunning Lake District Fells. An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a large village green, broad tree lined streets and a wonderful promenade overlooking the magnificent beach it is a perfect place for a relaxing break. Silloth is on the trail of Hadrians Cycleway and attracts visitors and outdoor enthusiasts to cycle or take up one of the many walks which originate from the village. In the summer there are numerous events and festivals held on the green. Sea fishing has been a popular pastime since Viking times.
