Troutbeck

Troutbeck is an historic village in Cumbria, close to Windermere. Set in a conservation area it is a haven for wildlife and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The village itself houses the stunning Jesus Church with its amazing Pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows, made by William Morris. One of the most famous residents of the village was Beatrix Potter and the farm she lived in is now a National Trust property.

Many of the whitewashed houses in the village date back to the 17th century and contain their own pieces of history, including mullion windows and spinning galleries. There are pubs, a post office and general store and a tea room where visitors can rest and enjoy the wonderful village atmosphere. Local accommodation...
