Troutbeck
Troutbeck is an historic village in Cumbria, close to Windermere. Set in a conservation area it is a haven for wildlife and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The village itself houses the stunning Jesus Church with its amazing Pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows, made by William Morris. One of the most famous residents of the village was Beatrix Potter and the farm she lived in is now a National Trust property.
Many of the whitewashed houses in the village date back to the 17th century and contain their own pieces of history, including mullion windows and spinning galleries.
