Coniston Sailing Club is located on the shore of the magnificent lake and offers training facilities and a comprehensive timetable of well organised events throughout the year. Visitors can make the most of the lakes facilities and take advantage of the ferry services which run directly from the centre. 

Situated on the stunning Lake Coniston in the beautiful Lake District National Park, this established sailing club offers a great experience for everyone!

Coniston Sailing club is located on the North West Shore of Coniston Lake, across the bay from Coniston Boating Centre. It is Next to Coniston Old Hall, which is a 16th Century farmhouse, providing a campsite for people to stay nearby (this is run by Coniston farm, not the sailing club).

Coniston Water is approximately 8.5 km long and 0.8 km wide at its widest point. It is subject to a speed limit of 10 MPH for motorised vessels (anything with an engine). It also has 3 ferries, which can be caught from the boating centre and go to different areas of the lake.

Coniston Sailing Club has a varied calendar of organised sailing events, junior training, open meetings; as well as both cruiser and dinghy series races on a Sunday, and a Wednesday night dinghy series open to all members.
Many social occasions are also available at the club. These include the annual commodores cocktail party and the Gondola Cruise.
